Campaign: Amazon’s Prime Day sales event, the initiative, crafted by Orchard Creative, highlights independent Etsy sellers who share the same first name as Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
Objective: Etsy’s brilliant campaign to showcase other creators named Jeff, emphasising craftsmanship and entrepreneurship.
Why it works:
According to Etsy, there are thousands of sellers named Jeff that operate on the platform. This campaign showcases many of these artists. The point of this is to take a gentle swipe at the most famous Jeff, as in “Jeff Bezos” and direct the focus to craftsmanship and small entrepreneurship.
Etsy has been working on renovating its brand to showcase “Celebrate Being Human,” focusing on the stories behind the artists and their products.
